Try downloading the Xbox accessories app from Microsoft store and do a firmware update on the controller. I have already tried that, and my controller is now up to date. The problem still happens though. Maybe try different cable for the controller, I had similar problem and when I changed it then it was good to go.

Love the game but this is becoming a nuisance, I cannot get reverse function to work with the controller. tl;dr: If the game is running fine for you but stuttering when you move the mouse, try finding your vendor-specific mouse options and reducing the polling rate/report rate.
